Saturday, August 10, 2013. The event will be taking place in Barrington at AquaLusion in Langendorf Park from 4-7 p.m. Join JourneyCare in celebrating 20 years of duck competition! Adopt a duck, or multiple ducks and watch them race down the slides. Swimming, food, and games will also be available for everyone to enjoy. This event benefits JourneyCare for Children, which is a pediatric hospice and palliative care program. These Duck Races are the only fundraiser of the year that funds the pediatric programs specifically. This fundraiser gives JourneyCare the opportunity to provide each child with the care they need, even if the family does not have the funds to do so.
